Hello!
I am a User Experience Designer and a serial people pleaser.
It started young, the people pleasing part. As a tween immigrant, my trials to be "American" led me to better observe people, try to understand behaviors, and closely listen to them talk. My biggest takeaway from this was learning to be empathetic and trying to understand every person I interacted with.
Cut to college, I studied Marketing and International Business which led me into jobs in a diverse set of industries from railroads to TV! I learned how to market products, manage projects and clients and of course stress!
But something was missing...
My craving for creativity and my wish to make an impact eventually drew me to UX. I was enamored by the organization and inclusivity of user centered design, so it is not surprising that my favorite parts of the UX process are framework strategy and design workshops with users + stakeholders. The goal is to employ design thinking to create fluid and engaging experiences for my users that also benefit my clients. See people pleaser!
And that is exactly what my job allows me to be! I get to work with really awesome + smart people, be creative and at the end of it all see the impact I make.
